The writer's new best friend: Blogging

What started out as an online information delivery system for companies to use as documentation and recording of minutes of company meetings, tables and indexes now opened a wide array of information source for practically every individual that has some knowledge over the internet. Over time, both professional and aspiring writers have seen the potential of having their works reach millions of readers over limitless boundaries through online blogging. Since its early inception, writers have decidedly put their pens down for a more somewhat demanding form of writing. Equipped with only a regular pc or a standard laptop and a reliable internet connection source, writers can express their way to putting up personal blogs for their articles, commentaries and passages to practically making money online for their works. Some writers I know, does a little affiliate marketing on the side using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) where ads are placed on their personal website or blog from publishers and other advertisers, these are but some of the ways to optimize profit online just to name a few. This evidently means that “blogging” helps writers expand and explore their horizons to cater to their own specific needs as well as benefit both the reader and the writer in more ways than one. Given its complexity, not all writers plunge up into the marketing scene. Various written materials reflect the personalities and interests of writers coming from different backgrounds and Social Orientation.

A blog is like a blank canvass. It means nothing without content, passion and drive. That is why successful writers/bloggers gets the most views and hits on their blog because they always have something interesting to write about. No amount of commendations from followers can top a writer who speaks his mind and effectively translate it into writing. Everything a struggling newbie writer should know to effectively get their point across to their readers depends on the quality of the content material. Another good thing about having a blog is that you can take “personalizing” content to a whole new level. Sky is the limit. You may just think your article is not good enough without putting in pictures, graphics and videos that may also help deliver your message and boost more reader views. Whatever a writer plans to achieve in making use of blogs, it, in a way garners respect from readers and more often than not encourages direct and sometimes strong responses citing another advantage the good ol’ blog brings in itself-Interactive Blogs. For writers to receive some form of feedback from readers and “followers” it can only mean one thing. The fact that they were able to produce arguments, give writers self-worth. Writers make use of forums and chat-boxes to reach out to what their followers and readers have to say, encouraging them to provide their opinion on matters specific to an argument about a particular article or just an “out of the blue” comment. Interactive blogs lead to another controversial yet interesting take on “social networking”. This way, writers usually make use of other peoples experiences to relate and provide depth on his writing, hence, better the material. Blogging is considered a valuable tool for writers to inspire readers, promote themselves as noble writers in their own right and become true artists with the help of cyber-technology making blogs the writer’s new best friend.
